Wednesday

Not too terribly much to report today...we started off the day at the Uniform Shop, making sure the uniforms will be ready next Tuesday, thank you SO much to our special friends who donated the money for this.  If you've looked at all of the photos I post you KNOW this is a blessing!

We taught the children how to love like Jesus this morning.  We brainstormed ways to do that.  The kids are so bright and seem to be enjoying our talks on serving.  There are a couple of REALLY great kids there!

We had a couple of frustrating moments, but those are to be expected, I suppose.  Two children got scolded pretty badly and I hate to see that.  It breaks my heart.  We weren't allowed to ask too many questions or they would have been scolded even more harshly.  After lunch, it started raining (and we were freezing if you can believe that).  I'm not sure if it was the rain or Walt's afternoon lesson, but a couple of kids just couldn't last:

I also took some photos of the town of Nakuru and what we see as we are driving into the Ronda slum where the Virginia Home is located:

So we are now sitting by the fire waiting for our Pepper Steak and Mashed Potatoes.  YUM!  It's funny, with limited technology, we do end up sitting together and talking more, so that's nice!  With jet lag and limited technology, we also go to bed about 8:45 each night. :)  Hopefully tomorrow we will go to the Nakuru market.  The boys are SO excited about bargaining, it is not my favorite thing but I do like to buy unique things.

Goodnight y'all!
